Ettore Bugatti is hailed to be one of the most gifted car designers th World has ever seen. His styling was distinctive and his development of engines was so advanced, ahead of its time. The Bugatti Royale is the most prestigious car in the world and only 6 were built, each with unique body on similar chassis.
It has a straight 8 cylinder engine. 12763cc producing 300 bhp, giving this 2.6 tonne car a top speed of 192kph. This model is of the 5th Royale-described as Coupe Napoleon.

The (Y45-1) 1930 Bugatti Royale Napoleon was introduced in 1991 in the same black with dark blue sides of Ettore Bugatti's own car, the Coupe Napoleon which was the first of only six Napoleons ever built.

Variations/Rarities: The interior can be a dark indigo-blue or a dark lilac-blue.

The production quantity of Issue 1 was 32,022.

In 1994 the model was re-run as part of the "Grand Classics Collection".

Interesting Facts: The Lesney model has Y45 on the baseplate but the inside of the roof glass is marked Y58 so there must have been a change in numbering before the model was released.
